PORTLAND ~ SEATTLE ~ VANCOUVER ~ VICTORIA

 

Join us as we head to the Pacific Northwest.  In Portland, we will explore Mount Hood National Forest , the highest point in Oregon and this beautiful mountain can be seen for miles around with its distinguishable white cone top.  We will also enjoy a stop at Timberline Lodge, a mountain retreat and National Historic Site.   We will stop and smell the blooms on over 8,000 rose bushes at the International Rose Test Garden.  This is the oldest, official, continuously operated public rose test garden in the U.S.  We will head  to Seattle, with a visit to the famous Space Needle with a journey to the top for a breath taking view of this beautiful city.  Then we are off to the historic Pike Place Market, one of the oldest farmers markets in the country and of course to watch the famous flying fish.  Of course you can’t come to Seattle without a visit to Mount Rainier, the 4th highest mountain with a summit elevation of 14,411 ft.  In Port Angeles we will board a ferry for a scenic journey through the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with spectacular views of the Olympic Peninsula to beautiful Victoria, British Columbia.  Here we will stroll along the causeway in the Inner Harbour enjoying great shops and a visit to Craigdarroch Castle, a spectacular mansion built in 1890 with four floors of exquisite stained glass windows, intricate woodwork and lavish furnishings.  We will visit the famous Butchart Gardens a National Historic Site of Canada.  In Vancouver we will enjoy Stanley Park, where we will enjoy  walking among totem poles at Totem Park, as well as a great view of Lions Gate Bridge, the Burrard Inlet and the North Shore Mountains. Gastown, Vancouver’s oldest neighborhood, we will explore its famous cobblestone streets, steam clock and quaint shops.  We will enjoy shopping on Vancouver’s most famous shopping street – Robson Street as well as shopping through the public market in Granville Island.  We will take a trip to the Lookout, 167 miles above Vancouver at the top of the Harbour Centre Skyscraper.  Don’t miss out on exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
